OUR HISTORY

Our company began as Kiebel, Inc. in 1990 as a general contractor. Kiebel, Inc. was certified to work on historical buildings by the City of Galena, IL, the State of Illinois and the Federal Historic Society. In 2000, principal, Matt Lorenz Sr., introduced polyurea coatings to the company and made the decision to steer the company into this specialized field. Over the years, our company worked within the agriculture industry and provided seamless membranes for dairy floors, as well as other construction applications including concrete and roofing. In 2009, our focus shifted to grain elevators and other large commercial projects. In 2015, PCI Midwest, a Division of Preferred Coatings, Inc., was created to handle all of our coating and spray engineering and construction projects.
